The Pirate Heads to Preschool

This is Gabe's entire life right now...
Yes, Disney now offers pirate shaped pasta.
Watch that blade! (Don't be alarmed, it's just soft foam.)
Putting on his shoes to go to "school" and eat lunch. The backpack is often worn as more of a "sidepack".
Can I go now?

This post has two basic themes: pirates (Gabe still likes them), and preschool (Gabe's going in a few weeks). In the first few pictures, I thought it would be fun to put all of Gabe's pirate stuff into a big group and take his picture with it. Quite a collection of loot! Great idea, except that Gabe then wanted to play with EVERYTHING instead of putting it back up, so there was a big pirate-y mess.

The last pictures are of Gabe and his new Spiderman backpack, which he got to pick out himself. He is going to preschool in a few weeks, and even though I was afraid to talk to him about this topic, he is very excited (for now!) It is very funny because it has the little handle and wheels like some luggage has, as if it will really get too heavy for him to carry on his back. As soon as we got home with his backpack, he asked me to fix him a lunch "for school", so I fixed put the lunch he was about to eat into little baggies and we took it outside to eat. Then he asked if he could go to school next. Hopefully he will not lose that positive attitude when the time gets closer to go for real.
